Gianni completed a Masters of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (focus on Power Systems) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 2024. His undergraduate degrees in Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering were awarded by the University of Rhode Island (URI) in 2021.

Since graduating in 2021, Gianni has worked at National Grid, an electric and gas utility that operates in the state of MA, doing implementation of statewide energy efficiency programs. Gianni has worked with commercial and industrial facilities to review their energy usage and find opportunities to save electricity, gas, and greenhouse gasses. Gianni holds the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and is an associate member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
