HousingWorks RI, Rhode Island Association of Realtors to Partner on Housing Research & Analysis

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – As part of its mission to research, analyze and communicate data to inform public policy discussions on housing and its effect on Rhode Island’s economy, HousingWorks RI at ܽƵ has formally partnered with the .
For HousingWorks RI, the agreement offers expanded access to data on real estate listings, which will translate to an even greater capacity to analyze and share information on housing issues in the state. As part of the partnership, the Rhode Island Association of Realtors has also provided $10,000 in sponsorship funds to support HousingWorks RI’s .
For the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and CEO Philip Tedesco – who joined RIAR in January 2015 – the partnership offers the opportunity to collaborate more closely with others in the housing sector to help inform sound housing policies in Rhode Island.
“The Rhode Island Association has been the primary resource for home sales statistics in the Ocean State, and we have a mass of research and resources at our disposal regarding not only sales data, but also trends among buyers, sellers and renters,” Tedesco says. “It only makes sense that we put this information to work to help HousingWorksRI ensure that our policymakers understand and address Rhode Island’s future housing needs.”
Nicole Lagace, director of HousingWorks RI, says that collaborating with RIAR offers the opportunity to amplify the research and analysis for which the organization is known.
“We are grateful to the Rhode Island Association of Realtors for their generous sponsorship and willingness to collaborate with HousingWorks RI at ܽƵ,” Lagace says. “This partnership will help us to analyze even more data in order to inform public policy and promote dialogue about the relationship between housing and the state’s economic future.”
The 2015 Housing Fact Book Luncheon – scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, at the Rhode Island Convention Center – will feature the unveiling of the 2015 Housing Fact Book as well as a speaking program focused on housing challenges facing members of the millennial generation.
