Student Driver - CEED/Audubon
Job Description
The on-campus student driver will be responsible for transporting students in a 2-8 passenger van to and from the Audubon Faculty in Bristol, RI. Students will need to be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Student Driver Responsibilities
- Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with required motor vehicle documentation; Schedule emergency maintenance requests;
- Regularly inspect vehicles for cleanliness, log mileage as required by department, and inspect and note damages as observed;
- Manage, organize and reconcile gas receipts. Follow all fueling procedures as required by department;
- Work with staff and divisional supervisors to address and resolve all conflicts and/or concerns; Collect van keys before the trip's departure, meet and check in passengers at a predeterminedlocation and drive the van to the designated location;
- Wait to take passengers on return trip either at the delivery location or another location unless otherwise specified;
- Immediately report to supervisor any accidents or incidents that happen during the trip
- Must adhere to all University policies especially the Motor Vehicle Use Policy; Must not text or use a cell phone while driving must obey all traffic laws and rules of the road.
- Must wear proper footwear. No open toed shoes or flip flops may be worn.
Additional Functions
Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy. You are required to protect against unauthorized access to or disclosure of such information. In addition, you should not access any records or information unless specifically directed to do so by your supervisor.

Functional Competencies
- Prerequisite Qualifications*
Must be 20 years of age, be in good academic standing and conduct free. Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license for a minimum of three years. - Must be certified to drive a 2-8 passenger van and follow the ܽƵ Motor Vehicle Policy.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Must be reliable and independent.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and faculty and communicate with supervisor to coordinate shifts.
