Art & Architecture Image Collections

 

contains images for use by faculty and students for educational purposes. Managed by Digital Services at the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Libraries, the collection is made available through .  While the collection is exceptionally strong in the documentation of art and architectural history, Digital Services serves all of ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ and welcomes image requests from all departments. Items in the collection include:

  • Digitized 35mm slides from the Cummings School of Architecture
  • Items digitized from print material
  • Original photography by ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty and staff
     

includes roughly 1,500 unique photographs of Rhode Island architecture, landscape and culture. Featuring work by ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Library’s staff and affiliated photographers, the Rhode Island Architecture Collection may be used by Roger William University faculty, staff and students for educational purposes. Items in the collection include unique, original photography of Rhode Island architecture, landscape and culture.

ARTStor's "primary goals are to assemble image collections from across many cultures and eras in support of educational and scholarly activities, and to work with the arts and educational communities to develop collective solutions to the challenges of working in a digital environment." ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Libraries provides access to ARTStor for anyone with a rwu.edu email.  Register for an account on campus in order to access site off campus.
