Academic Placement
ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ has placement guidelines to determine the appropriate entry-level course for new students. The math placement test determines the appropriate level for a student's first math course and other courses such as chemistry and biology.
Some of ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ's placement guidelines are based on a writing placement survey, while others are based on the results of online placements that new students take before orientation.
All placements should be completed before your registration session, this ensures the accuracy of your student schedule.
*Placement for Math and Writing does not require any special login or password, but you will need your student ID number, which will be sent to you with placement instructions once you have deposited. The Modern Language assessment is located on Bridges, so you will need your ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ login and password to sign in.
Writing and Modern Language Placement
All students must complete the writing placement survey; . Students who took a modern language in high school should take the modern language placement test. Students who did not take a modern language in high school are not required to complete the modern language placement test.
Math Placement
Click here to see if your major requires math placement.
*Please note that even if your major does not require the math placement exam, students who wish to take pre-calculus or higher must place into the course; you will not be permitted to register for pre-calculus, calculus I, etc. without the appropriate, corresponding placement score on file.
Login Cheat Sheet
You can find the login cheat sheet on the admissions accepted student's site.
